Prince William Hospital, Manassas, VA - Two's Company

Sometimes a little sibling rivalry is a good thing. In the case of the Hogan sisters it led them to their biggest accomplishment to date. After just nine weeks into her sister's internship in the Emergency Services Department, Lakisha was hired and began working full time. This renewed Nekisha's focus and determination in the Project SEARCH program. Nekisha, not to be outdone by her sister, entered her second internship rotation with one goal. "I wanted to be the best at my job" says Nekisha, "I really wanted to have a job like my sister." Twelve weeks later she was hired by Crothall Services Group, the company that provides Environmental Services for Prince William Hospital. Stacy Hart, the Employment Specialist for Didlake Inc. says,"Nekisha was a rock star for us," she continues, “She applied the lessons that she was learning in the classroom and her first experience to really excel." Now with both sisters working, the sibling rivalry has shifted to other areas of independence. "We are trying to see who can pass their driver's test first!” says Nekisha.
